My classmate Carolyn has a funny compilation of common Spanish mistakes that Gringos make here in Bolivia.  This is the product of a class discussion with Professor Oscar, one of our professors during the last two week session.  Mistake #2 is mine from my first time at the Maryknoll Language Institute.  It occurred in a class with Professor Oscar my first time around.

    Thanks for sharing your Bolivia experience with us. It brings back memories of my days there, and yes, of my Spanish mistakes as well. You might add to the list the care that is needed when speaking of eggs in Spanish as well.

    Number 5 is an oldie. I remember one of my teachers telling me that one when I was there 10 years ago! I'm sure she won't remember me, but give Kitty Schmidt–my favorite Instituto teacher–my best! And enjoy, it's a great place!
